Description Based on a famous book wrote by Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894), Treasure Island follows the adventures of 10-years-old Jim Hawkins as he joins a search party that's looking for the treasure of a famous pirate. He befriends a one-legged man named John Silver, who seems to have a dark side, like the crew of the boat young Jim travels on. The animation is average (1970's average) and the designs are very cartooonish (deformed/exagerated), specially Jim (he looks cute, though), but is quite serious, and a bit too violent, so I advice discretion.
Comments Another of the many animes I grew up with. It was originaly aired on WKAQ, channel 2, back on the 1980s. Recently it was re-aired on WAPA, channel 4. I was able to tape about 20 of the epiosdes and I wish I could get the missing ones.
