| Description |
In the
distant, Earth is under attack by an alien race
known as the Radam. Earth's technology is not
advance enough to stop the aliens, and they have
taken over the Orbital Ring from which all human
space flights are launched. Now, Earth's
ecosystem is slowly beign changed, and soon, the
Radam will attack earth itself. Only one man can
stop the Radam. His real name's a mystery even
for himself. He's know by two names, however:
D-Boy (Dangerous Boy, as named by the Space
Knights) and.... Tekkaman Blade!
(part of this description was taken from
"V*Max" magazine.) |

As is common
with must America edited animes, Tekkaman Blade
was edited and renamed teknoman and showed for a
brief time on US soil, never achieving high
enough ratings. I've heard the series didn't made
a full run of all it's episodes when it was
pulled off the air :(. However, the show
(Teknoman) was exported to other countries, like
Latin America, where it was run from begining to
end. the show was aired in Puerto rico but I was
never able to tape evrything. On top of that the
visual quality of some of the episodes I have is
TERRIBLE due to a bad connection between my VCR
and the Cable V cable! Back on the subject. The
series was Ok for me and it's a shame not
everybody shares my opinion. I've grown to
tolerate American dubbings for TV but what upsets
me is the fact that no company bothers to bring
the original version of the series on any format,
heving one to rely on bootlegs in raw Japanese in
order to see what's missing from the original
show. |
