THE STORY [Taken from the TV show intro]:
[NOTE: The MOSPEADA story resemble that of Robotech, BUT at the same time is different. This document will concentrate only on the MOSPEADA version.]

"Tn the year 2050, a mysterious phenomenon from space invaded the Earth. We named these invaders the "Inbits" and we fought to protect Earth from them , but they humiliated and defeated us. A large number of earth's inhabintants escaped to a Mars Colony Base and since that time the Invids have continued to dominate our planet .
In the yar 2080, three years ago, a group of brave soldiers from the Mars
Colony Base formed a Resistance Organization in an effort to drive away
the Invids and to recover Earth but once again, our enemies triumphed. The Invids grew increasingly powerful. Complete annahilation of Earth was inevitable. Our mission is to do whatever it takes to save the remaining humans and to vanquish the Invids forever!"

And so begins the MOSPEADA saga! The first character introduced is Steik Bernard, only survivor of the second wave of Mars Base's rescue force, send to earth to free earth from the Invid.The next character introduced is Rei. They meet while Rei was salvaging a MOSPEADA from the wrecks of a Mars Base's ship. This happens on episode #1. On episode # 2, the guys meet Mint Rubble, a little girl that's obsessed to get married and be a woman when she's barely a teen! On that same episode Fuke Erose is introduced, followed by Yellow Belmont, Ariel and Jim Austin on later episodes. Together they fight to reach Reflex Point and end their mission!

CURIOUS NOTES

This Anime is quite unappreciated and don't have the fans Macross have. In
fact, I wonder why it was choosen to be part of Robotech in the first
place.Maybe it was the die hard fans, or maybe the Robotech author just
liked it and/or saw some potential on it.
I personaly believes it is a very good series. What killed it's chances of getting sequels was the "suicidal schedule" given to it: early Sunday Mornings! On Puerto Rico shows airing that early have NO future at all! In fact, when a show is
given that schedule is because they're "burned-out".
