The above information was obtained by me on one of my several research trips to the Davis County Courthouse in Bloomfield, Iowa. The probate records are kept in the Clerk of Court office. They have a large index book of probate records. The records are located in boxes. A box usually contains several probate records of different individuals. You ask an employee for a specific probate box and they will retrieve it for you. There is a small amount of front counter space for you to look in the box for the record you are wanting (you must stand). They will make the photocopies for you.
