BISHI BASHI!!!

Check out the articles about the event.

Bishi Bashi was a day to meet other creators/enthusiasts in the area and buy/sell indie comics.
It was held on the 15th of September 2001 in The Black Swan pub, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

We had a good turn out and good feedback.People chatted and there may be quite a few collaborations formed from it. We sold quite a few comics (all the "There goes Tokyo..." titles sold out)

Among the attendees were Steve Donald (Viz comics and various other comic related projects), Suzy Varty (underground comics)and Terry Wiley (Petra etcetera). "Freakdaddy" creator Cliff Sainsbury had his own impressive stall which sold t-shirts as well as issues of Freak Daddy.

THERE WILL BE ANOTHER BISHI BASHI SOON

We hope to have a wider range of titles for the next Bishi Bashi, possibly a talk or some sort of guesty eventy type thing and it'll be even more fun than the first one.
