1. rockford midwest national 1998, SBC had a booth, with some videos on display,last day of the race, some little kid goes "will you sell me a video" rick goes sure why not, give me 10$. someone runs and tells dan. dan walks over holding a huge pile of videos throws them on the ground and starts cussing out eric abbadessa (a sbc racer, who had no clue waht was goin on) in front of a bunch of little kids. he sez rick is tryin to undermine him, and he is gonna send back every thing from sbc he has.. i didnt have a very high opinon of dan after that. --k
2. I ordered a set of Profile "Combo" cranks from them. The ad said "$129.99, was $164.99, you save $35". reg profiles cost $134.99. do the math, and they supposedly come with $30 more in accesories than regular profiles. they didn't. Profiles are supposed to come in a sealed white box. Mine came in a brown box with the bearings and axle in a zip-loc bag and the arms wrapped in newspaper. the shipment was missing half the parts. they were cool at first about shipping out the rest of the shit, but then one time I called and got yelled at over the phone. They screwed over and yelled at the wrong kid, because I'm now doing everything I can to stop Dan's. --Justin

2. Push Clothing only prints one sided shirts, but kids that bought shirts from dans got shirts printed on both sides.
3. Flyin W, the story goes that Flyin W owned dan some money, but since they were goin under, they couldnt come thru, to make up for what was missing, dans made copys of the Flyin W bars, so everyone was payin full price for bars that were actully rip off copys.
4. Dan does everything he can to put smaller mail orders out of bussiness, hes has been known to buy out the distributers just so smaller companys cant get any product.
5. Dans tryed to sue albes mailorder for slander because a local michgan was retelling these same stories. He didint get anywhere with it b/c the rider didnt work at albes like dan had assumed.
6. A post was made on Talk Bmx simply asking why dans didnt sell Terrible One, a reply was posted to go look at the Terrible One site for the reason, He recieved a email that threated to ban him from Talk Bmx if he ever mentioned Terrible One again.
7. A woodward counciler ordered a pair of profile cranks from Dans, rather then them coming in a sealed box they were recieved in a zip lock bag with grease on them.
8. Poverty Frames, said to actully be a batch of Morales frames that were defective, as in missing welds, crooked tubes, ect.
9. Untill recently, Chenga World skatepark did not allow anyone wearing a Dans shirt to enter the park, 2 kids were actully kicked out for wearing dans shirts at the 99 Burning Bike Fest.
10. Woodward skatepark is well known for sending kids home with a new found hatred for Dans. Kids that go with Dans shirts have either burned them or ripped them to shreads by the end of there stay. When Dan heard about this, he called Woodward and tryed to make a deal, he got hung up on, but who knows how long they can go before he worms his way in.

1. Dan constantly calls himself "the only rider owned mailorder" Thats pretty funny, because Albes, Trend, Staff, and Drews are all rider owned as well as many smaller ones. You may have heard of the following people.. Staff by Pro 2-hip rider George Hoerning, Drews by Pro Flatlander Andrew Arroyo, and Pro Bully rider Flipper, works at Albes.
2. Dan sez that all of these things are rumers spread by the other mail orders to try to hurt him. if this was the case, why are the rumers ONLY about dans, and why are the guys from all the mailorders good freinds excpect for the guys from dans?????
3. Dan claims to take part in every form of riding, the truth is he raced cruiser for a little bit back in the day and then quit.

~~~Whys it Matter???~~~

1. The riding community is a big family, supporting your fellow riders, who in the long run, will help you, seems a much better plan then giving your money to someone who is tryin to hurt other riders to gain even more money.

1. Dont buy from dans. Albes, Trend, Staff will match any of his prices, or even better yet, support your local bike store.
