A THORNY ISSUE
I don't mind how this story is drawn, but I think it would work best in a simple, disneyish style. The frame sizes and page numbers are just what I think would work best, but I'm very open to ideas. This story is designed as filler material, maybe for a story that isn't taking up enough pages in a comic.
Page one
Frame 1:
We see a little girl skipping through a forest. She is disgustingly cute and is singing to herself.
Girl: "tra la la la"
Frame 2:
A lion is laying across the path. It has a deadpan expression. The girl jumps back in shock.
Girl: "eeek! A lion!"
Frame 3:
The girl has got over the initial shock of seeing a lion.
Girl: "what's wrong? Why do you look so sad mr.lion?"
Frame 4:
The lion shows its paw to her, there is a thorn sticking in it. The girl bends over to look at it.
Girl: "oh! You've got a thorn in your paw"
Frame 5:
The girl pulls at the thorn. The lion is wincing.
Girl: "let me sort it out".
Frame 6:
The thorn is out and the girl is stroking the lions' mane. The lion has gone back to a deadpan expression.
Girl: "you're not so scary. Inside you're just a little sweetie".

Frame 7: 1/3 page
The lion is eating the little girl. Her top half has disappeared into his mouth.
Frame 8: 1/3 page
The lion has tipped his head back. Only the girl's legs are visible now.
Frame 9: 1/3 page
The lion has finished eating. He looks slightly annoyed.

Frame 10:
The lion looks at the ground.
Frame 11:
Close up of the thorn.
Frame 12:
The lion picks up the thorn with his paw.
Frame 13:
The lion shows us a huge grin as he picks his teeth with the thorn.
YOU'VE BEEN FRAMED I don't mind how this story is drawn, but I think it would work best in a simple spacious style. Frame 1:
Sun, large, filling most of the frame. Rays should suggest intense heat.
Frame 2:
Aerial view of a man, taken from high up. He is crawling through a desert.
Frame 3:
Side view of man. He is not far from death. Sun-burnt and sweaty. He looks up in surprise, he has spotted something.
Frame 4:
We see what he has spotted. A bottle of water is lying in the sand.
Frame 5:
We see the man crawling very quickly in a desperate attempt to get to the water.
Frame 6:
The man is sitting up and opening the water bottle.
Page two:
Frame 7: 1/2 page
He opens the bottle and plastic snakes shoot out. He jumps back in shock.
Frame 8: 1/2 page
He is lying on his back in the sand, confused. A film crew is standing to the right of the frame, filming him. A bearded presenter is standing beside him.
Presenter: "congratulations! You're on the "surprise show""
Page three:
Frame 9:
In the background the film crew are climbing into a helicopter. The man is still sitting on the floor, dazed. The presenter is now on the helicopter side of him.
Presenter: "your five hundred pound cheque is in the post"
Man: "water"
Frame 11:
The helicopter begins to take off. The man is now standing, looking towards it.
Man: "water"
Frame 12:
The helicopter is beginning to fly away. We are looking at it from the ground, upwards. It takes up most of the frame. We see the back of the man's head in the bottom left corner, as if we are standing just behind him.
Man: "water"
Frame 13:
We see a full body shot of the man. He is turned away from us, watching the helicopter, which is now very small just above the horizon.
Man: "water"
Frame 14:
Same picture, but the helicopter is now gone.
Man: "b******s"
