New Venue for Christmas Party

During our last meeting last September 19, it was suggested by Dante Salud to move the venue of the Christmas Party from his residence to his Orchid Farm. The farm is located in Noveleta along the newly constructed Centenial Highway leading to the Rosario Export Processing Zone.

The place is spacious (7,000 square meters), adequately fenced, has an orchidarium and with several mango trees. The nearest neighbor is about 500 meters away. Across the street is a parcel of land about 4-5 hectares, also owned by the Saluds. It is likewise fenced and can be used as parking space for the members of the class who will be attending the party. Unlike his residence, which is situated inside a subdivision, surrounded by neighbors, we can have the band or orchestra play music all night long and cry our lungs out without any fear of disturbing the neighbors. We can even have the party go on until the late hours of the following morning.

During the meeting Dante and his wife, Mena (Class '67), informed the committee that a swimming pool will be constructed in time for our party. The place will be brightly lit and decorated with Christmas lights and lanterns. What more can we say? The committee unanimously approved Dante's proposal.

This morning, De Morente and the undersigned went to the farm to take pictures of the site (photo no. 20 of the Photo Gallery). The swimming pool is in the final stages of construction. New bathrooms and a cottage is likewise being constructed. Existing at the farm are two open type cottages made of bamboo and nipa. It is indeed a nice place.

See you on the 29th of December.

PS

For those who wish to go swimming, you can bring your swimsuits during the party. However, just imagining members of the class in their swimsuits make me shiver to death.
