history: stacy and the sugar daddies got their start in 1999 in anderson, south carolina. the band's overwhelming talent soon took the town by storm. the band's first song, "mountains," was written in one take, and soon became their biggest and most recognizable hit.
in 2000, stacy and the sugar daddies took their show on the road and played at pack houses all over the country. their reputation landed them several spots on MTV, VH1 and BET's "rap city." The band soon expanded its sound to encorporate rock, jazz, bluegrass, country, hip hop and adult contemporary.
although the band members battled drug addictions, sex addictions, food addictions and binges on krispy kreme donuts, they have continued to make some of the most challenging and important music of the century.
