Janelle's Experience in Dominican Republic !
This is Janelle again, you might have already read my info page, but on this section I would like to tell everyone a little bit more about my missions trip that I took this past summer to Dominican Republic trip X.
Well we left on June 18, 1999 to go to Garden Valley to get tranied before we actually left to go on the mission field!
We would be in Garden Valley for 5 days before we actually left to go on the mission field. There in Garden Valley all the interns, would train us to get ready for the mission field..... They showed us, what kind of drama we would be performing, what to excepted for the people there in Dominican Republic, and how to witness to them one on one. But, what was so awesome was, the time that we had with God!
Ron Luce was the speaker there in Garden Valley..... he did many sermons before we left, on how we need to obey God's will, on faith, and also dating. So we didn't just learn how we where suppost to be on the missions field but also things that would help us later on in life.
Ok! On June 23, 1999 we left for Dominican Republic... but what was amazing was before we actually left for DR.... Ron Luce did a sermon on how the Devil will do everything in his power to stop us from going... and to tell the truth Satan for sure did so..... We had teenagers getting sick and hurt right and left, but that was not going to stop us from sending God word to those that have never hear it. So day by day we would get up and have are quite times and then get ready to go on the streets and do are drama and also one on one witnessing.
It was AWESOME...... we got to see some amazing maricles happen..... we saw people with blindness, held right before are eyes, we saw this one little girl that couldn't walk, just stand up and start walking for the first time in her life. It was awesome, just watching God heal this people..... because of the faith they had in God that they would be healed, they where! Not only did we see so amazing maricles..... we got to see 7,299 people get saved for the first time! While only being there for 2 weeks!!!!!!
Well I'll I can say is "Thank you God for giving me this opportunity to go and witness to people that needed to hear about you!!"
