Forever; Chapter 7

Lisa walked out into the hall and leaned against a wall, her head down. She should have known better than to believe that Brian was breaking up with Leigh Anne! God! How stupid could she be? Liz wanted to kick herself for believing it. All it did was hurt her…

"Lizzie?" Eli's soft voice asked. Liz looked over and saw Eli walk from the room where the Backstreet Boys were waiting for more fans to arrive.

"Huh?" Lizzie asked in a small, hurt voice.

Eli walked over and hugged the younger girl. "Hey, don't worry, Lizzie. As I was walking out, I saw him push her away and shake his head. They really are breaking up, I promise."

Liz sighed sadly and nodded, hugging the girl that could be called her sister. She forced the image of Brian holding Leigh Anne out of her mind. "Let's go to get our seats…"

Eli nodded and led Liz down the hall. Since they were the first ones there, the guards let them sit in the front row. They walked to the middle of the front row and Liz leaned forward, resting against the railing; the only thing that would keep Brian from being able to walk right up to her.

'Oh, stop it!' Lisa screamed to herself, 'Why would Brian want to walk right up to you? He's famous and a twenty-four year old man! You're a seventeen year old child!' But even as she told herself this, part of her had to disagree. He had said that the girl his heart was telling him to wait for would be younger, sixteen or seventeen. 'Oh God, Lisa! Grow up! This is the real world, famous singers don't fall in love with seventeen year old girls that live with their father and a stepmother!! If your own mother didn't want you, what makes you think Brian Littrell will? Get a grip!'

Liz didn't like to think about her real mother; her stepmother was mom to her. Her real mother had abandoned her when she was only five years old, running of with a man that she was never to know. Liz still saw her mom on various occasions. Whenever she was with her mom, the woman had been awful to her. It killed Liz to call her 'mom', when she's at home, the woman is known as 'Kelly'. Her father doesn't approve of the way Liz doesn't like Kelly, but then he doesn't know what Liz has to live with when she's there. Just last month Kelly's lawyer called and said that Lisa had to go over once every month for a week. The next day Liz had to go and stay a whole week alone with her mother.

"Lizzie!! Look! It's them!" Eli shouts, pointing on stage. Liz looked up and saw all five of the Backstreet Boys walking on. Brian and Nick had sly looks on their faces, as if saying 'watch me.'

Liz's eyes locked on Brian and stayed there. All she could see was one guy on stage, dancing and singing. His blue eyes took on a certain glow when he danced and smiled at all the fans. When he sang his parts, his eyes would close and he would sing his heart out. Any and all of Liz's anger at him left in one instant and all she wanted to do was hug him and confess her love.

Liz let out a tiny sigh and continued staring, her eyes wide and trusting, and her innocence glowing. All of her dreams were slowly coming true. She had finally met the man of her dreams and he seemed to like her as a friend; and now she was seeing him perform live for the first time in her life. All of her worries about the next day left for the time being and all she cared and thought about was Brian Thomas Littrell.

She leaned forward more and felt a rush when Brian jumped towards the edge of the stage and bent over and took the hands of a couple girls. He smiled at them and winked as he sang. Liz felt jealousy rise in her heart. She couldn't help but wish that he'd walk over and take her hand and sing to her and wink at her. Maybe even kiss her hand. Liz let out another sigh and continued to watch him.
