Lisa Booze sighed softly and looked in her mirror. It was her seventeenth birthday and she was all nervous. Her family was throwing her a party and El's was due to arrive at any moment. Brandon was excited for some reason or another and had told Liz to make sure that her hair and everything were perfect. Liz had decided to wear a tight, white wife beater - tight because Liz had big breasts for a seventeen year old and the shirt clung to her breasts - and long khaki's and an open, light blue shirt. She had on blue Nikes and her hair was pulled back in a loose bun. Lisa never wore make-up so she figured why start now?
Liz grabbed her ring and put it on. It was a friendship ring that El's had gotten her when she was thirteen. It was a gorgeous ring with a white gold band and a bunny rabbit shaped white gold pendant on the top. Inside the bunny shape were five sapphires. Bunnies were Liz's favorite animal and sapphires were her birth stone. Lisa had cried when she opened the box and saw it. What was weird was that Liz had bought the exact same ring for El's only is it was in the shape of a kitten with purple gems inside. The girls had giggled like mad and hugged. Liz never took the ring off and from what she saw, neither did El's.
Liz turned away from her mirror and looked around her room. There were Brian Littrell posters on every wall, some of the Backstreet Boys all together, but mostly just Brian alone. Ever since the first time Lisa had seen Brian when she was fifteen years old, she had been in love with him. She had stopped dead in her tracks and stared at the screen. It had been an interview on MTV and Brian was laughing as Nick answered a question, looking really nervous. It was just the two of them and Liz had walked over to the TV in a daze, her eyes fixed on Brian and Brian only. His sapphire eyes had been sparkling as Nick tried to answer the question. The first words she ever heard him say were; "Gotta love this man!" pointing to his right at Nick. She had been enchanted and El's had walked in and smiled.
"I knew you'd love him when you saw him, I meant to show him to you but I kept forgetting." She'd said, her eyes glowing.
Liz had turned to her, her face still dazed, "W-who is he?"
"That would be Brian Thomas Littrell, the twenty-two year old sweetie of the Backstreet Boys. The other one is my man, Nick. He's seventeen."
Liz had gotten hooked to the Backstreet Boys that day and from then on had been a huge fan. Just hearing his voice sent shivers up and down her spine and her knees went weak and her heart started racing. Even though she had never met him, her heart told her it was love at first site.
"Lizzie?" a voice asked.
Liz turned and saw Elisa standing in the doorway to her room. Liz smiled, "Hi."
El's flashed a grin, "Hey, girl! You look great!! Come on, I wanna give you your present now!"
Lisa nodded and smiled, "Alright." She walked over to El's and the two girls walked downstairs. Brandon was sitting on the couch, a huge smile on his face.
Eli grinned, "Ok, Lizzie, get ready for this…I got us tickets to go to tonight's Backstreet Boys concert and also managed to grab some backstage passes at the same time!!"
Liz just sat there, staring at her best friend. Was it true? Was she finally going to get to meet Brian?! "A-are you for serious?"
El's grinned at Liz's comment, "Yes I'm for serious!! We get to go to the meets and greets if you'd hurry your butt up!!"
Liz jumped to her feet. "What are we waiting for?! I'm SO ready to go!" the two girls ran out to Eli's car and drove - rather fast but neither girl cared - to the concert that Liz had been waiting to see since she was fifteen years old. She was finally going to meet Brian Littrell. Her heart raced as they speed away, her stomach nervous. Would he like her? Did she look good enough? Would Leigh Anne be there? Well, Liz told herself, there's only one way to find out. She took a deep breath and climbed from the now parked car and looked at El's and proceeded towards the building.
