REINCARNATION REVISITED

Queeks and Boobs are sitting on a veranda sipping some 
sweet alcoholic drink through straws.  Because of their 
force field they can do this even in January.

Queeks: Well, Boobs I think the time has come to talk of 
reincarnation and other things.
Boobs: Yes, Queeks, I think so too.
Queeks: My idee is that the concept of reincarnation, a 
much recurring idea world wide, may be the guard for the 
concept of karma and like ideas such as "what goes around 
etc." Very necessary for accusations.
Boobs:  Since when do you use words like idee?
Queeks: I think it adds a rural quality to my talking.
Anyhow, back to reincarnation and past lives.
The first time that a baby dies or suffers serious 
misfortune, the question arises "what could the baby have 
done in its short life so wrong that it deserved what 
happened to it?" 
And of course it is difficult to explain, unless one 
invokes something like reincarnation;  "Oh it must
have done something wrong in a past life."  Neat.
So, it is very, very much to the advantage of whoever 
is trying to tie results to behavior to have reincar-
nation around although proof is difficult to find.
Boobs:  Hmmm, you may have something there.  That may 
explain why some people are so insistent about past
lives.
Queeks:  Though the concept of reincarnation can be a 
very beautiful idea, it is time for examining things
again.
Boobs:  And logically, this does not prove much, and 
hopefully this doesn't bend anyone too much out of 
shape.
