- Forward a simple e-mail message to the author if you are
making a link to their site
- Authors are responsible for what they allow users worldwide
to access
Netiquette in Mailing Lists, Discussion Groups:
- Monitor the List for a few days before posting your comments
- Check FAQ for similar question
- Follow the local netiquette
- Post relevant comments
- Do not prolong irrelevant discussion
- Be mindful of the members backgrounds
- Administrative tasks e.g. unsubscribe from the List should
be sent to the right area
In FTP Sites:
- Users are responsible to check for copyright or licensing
agreements when downloading materials from FTP sites
- Pay the authors registration fee of required
- Remove unwanted programs from your systems
- Its the users responsibility to check for
copyright or licensing agreements. On many occasions, copyrighted
software found its way into FTP archives.
