Evaluation Criteria

  • Authority
    • Is the creator or contributor a subject expert, or by an institution with recognized knowledge and expertise in the field?
    • Involvement of a reputable organization?
    • Availability of author's particulars to be contacted for clarifications
    • Determine popularity of the resource
  • Accuracy

The site should either have factual accuracy, or is based on a research basis. Political, ideological or biasness should also be checked within the sources. Question whether the information is a fact or opinion. References to published sources should be stated.
There should also be evidence of quality control, e.g: refereeing or editing. Motivation of the authors involved in the production of the source should be noted. Also, take notice on whether the content is an independent piece, or an abstract from another source. The content should also be free from grammatical, spelling and typographical errors
