Notes:

This past Tuesday was the final official week of the first half. The final standings are above. I'm surprised that the race for first place was so close. Congratulations, Nick & Pat! The top four places will receive money, although I'm not sure when you'll get it. Let's hope that we don't have to get Biff & Rocko to help Bob find the money. It was decided by a vote last Tuesday that next week (Wk. 10) we will do a 2-man/4-man scrambles. That means you'll be paired with your normal partner and also with another team to play a standard scrambles format. The other team was decided by the best team handicap with the highest and so on, I.e. 1/12, 2/11, 3/10, etc.

It was also decided to re-instate the "bonus point system" and along with that the match points are going to increase from 9 possible points to 19 possible. There will be two points per hole possible and 1 point to the low net team in that match. That means if you flush your opponent and have the low net team score a total of 31 is possible. An explanation is available from the secretary, feel free to ask.

Last week, the "Low-Net" Pot winner was Bunk with a 31 net score. Receiving honorable mention was Kevin~32. There were a number of people close but not in. Pat would have tied but couldn't peel a buck from his pocket. "You can't win, unless you get in."

There are no prize holes next week to allow for a prize fund for the top 3 teams in the scrambles. Each golfer is asked to put in a "5-er" towards the prize fund. Three will go to the top 3 teams and 2 will go to a team skins competition. The skins competition will be conducted, as normal. If there is no skins after all is said & done, that money will go back into the team prize fund. Details of any of the above will be given upon request from Rick or Bob prior to teeing off.

Thanks, see you next week, 06/11/02! Let someone know if you're going to be late or absent, as soon as humanly possible. The whole league will thank you.
