Poker Ride 2006

After having to cancel our Poker ride twice due to rain,
We finally had a beautiful weekend to work with.

May 13th, 2006 dawned sunny and warm, promising us a great day!!

I had over 50 people show up to the town of White Pines just outside of Arnold, Calif.
A beautiful area with a lake, Cedar, oak and pine trees as far as you can see.

While the majority of the group headed out on horseback to make a 3-4 hour loop,
there was a half dozen of us that remained at the trailers to cook up the Chili, garlic bread,
salad and dessert.

Upon the return of our riders, we served lunch first, then proceeded to figure the winners of the
Poker hands. Joelene Storment won High hand. Jean Souza won Low hand. Then it was time
for the raffle. We had several tables full of donated prizes. Grand prize was a ton of Hay,
which Bridget Ebert won. Congratulations to all of our lucky winners.
Thank you to all who donated, helped and participated to make our only fund raiser of the year a success!!!
