HISTORY
The
CMHEA was first organized in the fall of 1993, when the Campbell’s and
Belknap’s decided to meet at the base park.
A week or so later two more families joined them. Within a month, by word of mouth,
approximately 50 families had called and asked to come. From a simple desire to spend time together came a group that
formed into CMHEA. Begun as an informal
support network of active duty, retired and reserve military families, CMHEA has grown
into a structured, organized association designed to serve the military
home educators of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
CMHEA continues to grow with each passing year. The growing need and concern for a better
education has brought many parents to our group.
MEMBERSHIP
We are a Christian organization that is special in the fact that members must be affiliated with the military in some manner. CMHEA is designed for active duty, reserve, national
guard or retired military families.
BENEFITS OF JOINING CMHEA

Tuesday of the month (Sept-May) at the Triangle Chapel Annex at 7pm located on
Keelser Air Force Base. You are welcome
and encouraged to come for a "Teacher's Night Out."
