Cameron Todd

(these are my opinions.... this has nothing to do with the petition) Cameron Todd, a former police officer for the City of Houston, was formally charged with 4 counts of fondling for lustful purposes. Unfortunately anyone who's ever really known Cameron know the aligations to be false. Cameron has been a friend, more a big brother than anything, since I was 10 years old. Never once has he ever tried anything sexual or sexually explicit toward me or any other teenage-child female member of the martial arts class he taught, to the best of my knowledge. Ever since this scandal broke out in September 1997, I have not believed a word that anyone said about Cameron being guilty. It's just not in Cameron's personality to do anything even remotely close to doing anything sexual with any child. He has a child and a beautiful wife. There is no way he would have chosen to lose his reputation, his life, or his family over a child who was barely into puberty. Now had this come from an adult, I might have been inclined to believe some, but not rape. Maybe a sexual encounter with a grown woman, but never with a child. Cameron loved children. He loved being able to teach them how to defend themselves should the need arise, and just loved being surrounded by people who had an interest in something he loved. If it hadn't been for Cameron being there for me when I was right in the middle of my teens, giving me an outlet for my anger in martial arts, I probably would have wound up in alot of trouble. I owe most of who I am to Cameron. I know if I had of ever needed someone to talk to he would have listened, no matter how stupid the situation seemed. I couldn't have asked for a better friend, and still can't. Cameron is like a big brother to anyone who ever knew him as well as some of his former students did. He's honest, caring, loving, and one of the best friends anyone could ask for. I just can't believe someone would actually accuse him of doing something as awful as capital rape. It's just not possible. I don't care if you've know him 5 years or 5 minutes, you'd know it wasn't possible. Cameron has total faith that the truth will prevail even over the lies that have been told. Hopefully the system will not let him, or us, down this time. I've always been a cynic, maybe this time I'm wrong. As long as we have enough people will back us up on this, we can get another trial, and maybe this time we will get him out. An innocent man doesn't deserve to be behind bars for a crime he didn't commit. I know there are alot of innocent people in the jail systems, but hopefully Cameron won't add up with the rest of those innocents who are still in prison. We need to get Cameron out and back at home where he belongs. There are too many people involved in his eventual release to give up on him simply because they think the system is unbeatable. The system can be beaten, even with a system as corrupted as the city of Houston has. Jim Hood, the district attorney for Chickasaw county, is about as corrupted as they come. No matter our efforts to have him investigated, the Attorney General of the state of Mississippi won't investigate him because he used to work in their offices. He has too many friends in high places, and thinks he's irreplacable. Unfortunately he can and will be replaced if I have something to say about it. The state of Mississippi will have to do an investigation on him if enough people complain about him, but most won't either because they are scared of him or just don't want to find out the truth. Jim Hood isn't a god. He's a man who is as twisted and corrupted as I've ever seen. I say these things because I'm neither scared nor ignorant of him. There is nothing he can do to me, or to anyone else, that people won't let him do. My theory on the whole thing is, Pammy Davidson's, the social worker of the girl who made the accusations against Cameron, husband, Tim, wanted to get Cameron out of the way because Cameron was one of the top choices for the Mississippi State Highway Patrol, plus Cameron was working on an undercover drug investigation that could have (not totally for sure) implicated several very powerful people inside the city government. So when the house fire of a neighbors of the girl's was reported, Hood found the perfect way to get rid of Cameron, with the help of a few people in the police force. For one the whole investigation was done totally wrong. If a police officer is charged with any crime, then they should have brought in the FBI to investigate it. Not someone who's most likely involved in the whole thing to begin with. The cover up is so obvious. Anyone who knows even a little bit about the law could see that. At any rate, there should be a total investigation of the city itself, done by outsiders who know their business and are not in any way involved, connected, or knows anyone within the city government itself. At least we should have the trial moved outside of Chickasaw county, to a place where no one has even heard of the case. These, however, are just my opinions. After all, what does a sorely educated, ignorant person like me know?
