Welcome to my home. Most visitors to Taney county come to see Branson's shows and theaters, but the rest of the county is worth a visit. I grew up in Forsyth. Forsyth is the historic county seat and is a quieter area. There are plenty of lakes and streams and the scenery is beautiful.
My family homesteaded in this county in the 1800's. My great-grandfather Barton Yell Everett, Sr. was one of the original Baldknobbers- -the vigilante group, not the music show. I am proud of my heritage and my hometown. Proud of my family.
