Lafayette County, MS

This is the weirdest 4-way stop sign I have ever seen. Inside Ole Miss in Oxford. No wonder so many roadgeeks are at universities. :-) (5/19/01)

Sign error in Oxford. MS-6 no longer runs thru there (it should be Business MS-6), and MS-314 has no business route. (11/01)

Business MS6 is signed in western Oxford along Jackson Avenue, 9th Street (I think), and University Avenue up to Lamar Boulevard. Then, it suddenly stops being Business MS6 and MS314 and starts being MS334. Every business route that is regularly signed is now signed by cities. (2/01)

A picture of an old MS314 sign in Oxford. This is an older style for highway signs in Mississippi (and it looks better, too). This is very similar to Tennessee's secondary highway marker. This photo was originally shot in June 2000, but the photo was so lousy that I had to reshoot it. This time, it came out great. (2/01)

The north end of MS-331. I thought the scenery looked nice. (11/01)

This is an interesting overhead street-name sign in Oxford. The font is not an FHWA font; I think it's Helvetica (extra bold condensed) but I'm not sure. (11/01)
