The Lighhouse

There's a lighthouse on the hillside that overlooks life's sea
When I'm tossed it sends out a light that I might see.

And the light that shines in darkness now will safely lead me home
If it wasn't for the lighthouse my ship would sail no more.

Everybody that lives around us says tear that lighthouse down
The big ships don't sail this way anymore
Ain't no use it standing round

But then my mind goes back to that stormy night
When just in time I saw the light
With the light from that old lighthouse
That stands there on the hill

And I thank God for the lighthouse
I own my life to Him
Jesus is the lighthouse and from the rocks of sin
He has shown the light all around me so that I might clearly see
If it wasn't for the lighthouse
Where would this ship be.

"A Miracle From God"
Hello,This page is being dedicated to my son Matthew and in honor to one of the greatest singers of all time, Kenny Hinson. Matthew will be 19 on Jan.19, of 2000. Ever since Matthew has been able to form a setence he has been singing Hinson song's. About two weeks after Matthew was born He became very ill,we took him to the doctors many times and he was in the hospital several times. He could keep nothing on his stomache. He cried all the time, and was in a great deal of pain. He continued to lose weight, because of being unable to keep anything on his stomache. The doctors did X-rays and test's and could find no cause for his illness. It would look like I would lose my little man. But I clung to a promise that God gave me two weeks before Matthew was born. We was in Revival with Brother Wilkerson and was having a great revival. One night Brother Wilkerson was preaching on "A Man Called Matthew". And out of the blue he stopped preaching he looked at me and Said"And You Shall Have A Son And You Shall Call Him Matthew And He Shall Preach The Truth And The Blessed Word Of God And Be Great In His Ministry" And then started back preaching again. At that time I had another name picked out for my son. But after that night the name Matthew became part of him. The very last time they let Matthew out of the hospital the doctors told me"That they had no idea what was wrong with him and just to take him and there was nothing more they could do for him". On the Thursday night we brought Matthew home from the hospital, they were having church at Brother Thrasher's. and I told my husband that we had to go that night. Matthew was very sick that night and had cried most of the day. I just needed to be in the presence of the Lord. We arrived late and set in the back noone knew we was coming and I had no idea that another preacher would be preaching besides Brother Thrasher. Matthew cried through song service and I almost got up and went outside because I was afraid we were desturbing. Finally the minister got on the floor and he was preaching and Matthew was still fussing I could tell that he was in alote of pain. Brother Chandler was preaching and I was holding Matthew trying to help him. He was at this time about 6 weeks old. Brother Chandler looked at my husband and said"Sir take that baby and bring it to me". And My husband obeyed. And we took Matthew up front. He layed hands on Matthew and prayed for him. And he went right to sleep and didnt wake up untill the next morning. Brother Chandler also prayed for my husband and I it had been a trying time for the both of us also. We were so afraid we were going to lose Matthew. I set up most of the night that night watching Matthew sleep. I was worried he had never slept a whole night in his whole life. The next morning when he did awake he was starving:o) He had been unable to drink any kind of milk at that time. I told my husband that I was going to fix him a bottle of milk because I knew that the Lord had healed him. and thats exactly what I did it wasnt formula that I fixed but just a plain can of pet condenced milk. Before I give it to him the devil was trying to make me believe I was doing wrong. But I prayed over that bottle of milk and I gave it to Matthew and he drank it and went right back to sleep and has never had a minutes problem eating anything. In fact I have called him "My Little Starving Marven" for many years. Now Matthew is a young minister and a Wonderful singer. (Kenny Jr. if you please ;O) Iam very proud of this young man! "A Very Special Brother"

As I write this poem so dear and true, I think back to the times just me and you! We had so much fun playing just us, Even though we did fight and fuss, When school was out we would have a blast, Just me and you atlast, Even though we werent close then like we are now, I have learned over the years love, kindness,and to stand proud, Because, Matthew not every sister has a brother like you, Who sings like Kenny and preaches so true, Not every sister can say, Iam so proud of my brother that way, Matthew for sure I know we have one thing thats common and the same, We both have the Holy Ghost and been Baptised in Jesus Name, We have lived a wonderful life you and I, And Iam glad to know the friendship we have will never die, I know somtimes we get a little fussy at each other, But Iam still your sister and your still my brother, As I end this poem so dear and true, I still think back to the times just me and you.
