TEMPEST
Watch the clouds roll in, my love.
Feel the gentle breeze caress you
As a surrogate lover's touch
Close your eyes and breathe deeply
As your soul longs for the corporeal contact.
Place your hands on the rail, lean forward
Fearing not the precipice below
Listen to the thunder
As the deep rumble shakes you to the core.
How are your dreams, dearest?
Do they lift you higher than the tides
Or jolt you upon the reef?
Let the tears fall.
Experience the pain.
Know the yearning.
Part your lips and sigh.
Raise your countenance.
Hear the revered voice in the wind.
The tempest rages in synch, withing and without.
Flash of lightening, flash of memory.
A smile . . .
A laugh . . .
A kiss . . .
A dance . . .
Charged atoms collide.
Eyes wide open.
Crashing waves mask the pneuma's roar.
Heavy hangs the clouds.
Heavy hands the id.
As without, so within.
Return to the Sanctum
