Currency in Lessons Malignant (16th sonnet)

A T.S. Elliot poem transcribed by Courtney Jensen in 1998...

Given bread:
She says she is hers
Given bread,
She eats; extends herself.
Grain is eaten- and posted-
Flow through; out the other end
It is seen as waste
In the eyes of most.
To all but some
And not all, some, but none.
Curse: those blind siblings
And the orgies to sell a smile,
The bread to keep the life:
To fill, a salesman's hollow, hollow lies.
