Nintendo's next generation console, the Wii-U, was announced at E3 on June 7, 2011. It plays 12cm optical discs and is backward compatible with the Wii. It has a more powerful processor (multi-core by IBM) than PS3 and X-Box 360. It supports HD with HDMI outputs as well as composite, component, and S-video. The controller has a built-in 6.2" touch screen (16:9), an accelerometer, camera, rumble feature, microphone, stereo speakers, sensor strip, and supports video calls, and web browsing.
