BOSTON SWEEPS THE ROCKIES FOR WORLD SERIES TITLE
Topic: baseball

The Boston Red Sox win their second World Series trophy in four years after a 4-3 win against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver on Sunday night. The Red Sox have won their last eight World Series games. This gives Boston their second World Series sweep in four years. It's hard to believe that three of the last four World Series champions swept the series. The last two championships for the Red Sox come after the team went 85 years without a title.

Who's your pick for Cubs 2007 MVP?
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: baseball
Trying to pick the Cubs 2007 MVP is very tough to do. Three players are contenders: Derrek Lee, Alfonso Soriano, and Aramis Ramirez. I won't consider a pitcher as there were none that won 20 games (Zambrano was close at 18, but he lost 13 games and had a 3.95 ERA). I will go with Soriano who led the team in Runs, Triples, and Home Runs. Alfonso's RBI's were lower than Lee and Ramirez but that is because he is the lead off batter. Soriano was only 8 Hits away from having the most Hits, and two Doubles away from having the most Doubles on the team. He also had 19 Stolen Bases. His .299 Batting Average was a little lower than Lee's .317 (probably due to having 130 Strike Outs) but his average is still quite good. I am basing this decision mostly on paper statistics, I watched mostly Dodger games this year! Who do you think should be MVP?

WORLD SERIES
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: Tigers and Cards
Topic: baseball
I watched part of the game yesterday at work. It is very apparent that nobody on the Pacific Coast is watching or even cares. I guess if you are from Detroit or St. Louis the series is exciting.

Opening Day!

Now Playing: doubled in his first at-bat.

Barry Bonds remains six homers shy of Babe Ruth on the all-time list. I know SF can't stand LA, but I like the Giants. I hope the Dodgers will do a better job toward the end of the season this year. Click Here for a link to scores, schedules, stats, and standings MLB.COM.

The Angels wont go to the World Series. They shouldn't call themselves the Los Angeles Angels when their home field stadium is located in Anaheim, Orange County, not Los Angeles County.
