Having property in Mindanao, and Vancouver, Canada, the surfing thing is interesting. There is something of a summer surf scene at Long Beach, and a bit North towards Tofino, Middle Beach. You get about six or eight surfers who cram six tents into a recreational site, to save money, and surf and part the summer away. They ware wetsuites there cause the water is cold. ( And waves are small, but the beach is way cool.)

Bill ( an American ) and his wife will take good care of you cheap, and he built a place for surf boards. He knows the Philippines and where to surf, his room rates are cheap, as is the good food. He has a library of photo albums for anywhere in the Philippines in the seating area.

Oh, yes, and don't forget. You will have fun at Tofino.
