My name is Katrien, 21 years old, living in a small town in Belgium. I
study at the university of Ghent (interested to find out what, just mail
me). I play basketball in the local team and maybe we're not the best,
we sure have a lot of fun.
The X-Files is the first show to ever get me so interested. And the
response on the net is so overwhelming that I just got more and more
addicted. I joined the Belgian X-Files Department about a year ago now
and got into helping out on meetings and going to discussions with the
organisers of the events. The meetings are always a lot of fun and
sometimes they're just great (like the time we got to go to the
avant-premiere of Fight the Future in Antwerp with after-party!). I also
did write some pieces of fanfic, they're out on the net, somewhere
(Gossamer e.g. I'm listed as Katrien).
Other shows I like are ER,Friends, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Chicago Hope
(but it hasn't been on for a long time), and some others that I see once
in a while. The thing I hate most is that in Belgium we get everything
months after it aired in the States, sometimes even a year later.
Movies, I just love going to the movies, and I like a wide variaty of
genres. My favourites include: Titanic, Forest Gump, ID4, Top Gun,
Dirty Dancing, Schindler's list, The Truman show and lots and lots more.
Music, same thing here: I like a lot of styles but mostly rock-balads:
Celine Dion, Adiemus, Enya, Savage Garden, Carmina Burana and
soundtracks of movies (I love the one of Romeo+Juliet).
Other hobbies include: writing (letters, stories, fanfic, my
journal,... ), going out with my friends, travelling (California,
Australia, Greece, there are so many places I would like to go...)
