This is where it all began, The site of His birth in the stable

When the Lord decided to come and dwell among us, He chose to be born in a stable among the animals rather than in an inn with us humans. The stable still exists in Bethlehem, and was rather a cave that was used as a stable than a built one like those under Christmas trees. The earth, the cave, the animals were the first to greet Him when He came. Together with His All Holy Mother and Saint Joseph, they greeted the Creator when He arrived among us. Unlike us humans, animals know God when they see Him!

Since He chose that site, and since He chose those creatures to be near Him, I love such sites and such creatures allot. In fact I’m kinda a cave dweller you might say. I love to rough it outdoors, to be at the edge of human endurance. Nature as it storms, with lightening and thunder, move me to reflect on Him and His glory and power. I try to spend long periods of time away from the human race in the wood, in mountainous terrain, among wild animals allot. The animals know the Lord and they offer their praise in their own fashion. Plants and animals glorify Him, and one just has to listen to the prayer of nature to God to be inspired to pray himself. We can learn much from nature, about quiet, and growing, and giving, and producing fruits of the Holy Spirit.
In the peace and tenderness of nature, pure and untouched by human hands, one can hear the Lord speak, and feel His touch. The earth is His. Of course we don’t always treat it as belonging to the Creator. We tend to use it as if it is our own creation. But it is not as you well know. The earth is the Lord’s and He views it as most precious. He entrusted us to take care of this priceless gem and to treat it with respect and reverence. It spins in the blackness of space reflecting His love and light to all who would see.

The Adventure continues....
