Biographical note: Wilfrid Philip Ward (1856-1916) was the son and biographer of William G. Ward, one of the more noted Anglican members of the Oxford Movement. Besides the biography of his father, he also wrote a biography of Cardinal Newman, and also wrote on Cardinal Nicholas Wiseman and Aubrey de Vere. The work presented here “THE OXFORD MOVEMENT” was first published in 1912.
