Hello! I am "Ill Will" and this is my gym website. Thanks for visiting.

Before I begin talking about why I love gymnastics so much, or who my favorite gymnasts are, I'd like to begin by providing you, dear readers and viewers, with the most essential and interesting gymnastics links.

They are:

Gymn Forum. Probably the greatest single gymnastics reference site. Using it, you won't need my page at all, or hardly any other page for that matter. Has the single biggest results section on the net, encompassing world championships and olympics from 1952 to present for women (and further back for men), as well as many other international and national competitions. Also, they treat the history of gymnastics, provide many bios, link to many external sources (message boards, merchandise sites), give a good "who did this first?", outline scoring rules, and many other things.

International Gymnast is the online version of International Gymnast Magazine. International Gymnast is, and for a long time has been, the world's premier gymnastics magazine. FYI: "International Gymnast" is a merger of two previous titles: "Modern Gymnast" (volume 1 in 1957 - volume 13 in 1971) and "Mademoiselle Gymnast" (volume 1 in 1966 to volume 5 in 1971). In 1972, these magazines merged together as, simply, "Gymnast", which lasted from volume 14 in 1972 to volume 17 in 1975. Beginning with volume 18 in 1976, the title was changed to "International Gymnast" (coincidentally the year that Nadia changed the sport forever), and has remained as such to the present day. Almost daily updates and articles, etc.

The Biggest Gymnastics Links Page on the Net. The name says it all. Unfortunately, it has not been updated in a couple of years, but it has more links to gymnasts' and countries' homepages than you could count on the hairs on your head (well, SLIGHT exaggeration, but literally between 1000 to 2000 links). It also has many more links to general gymnastics boards, gym chat boards, gallery links, results links, and gymnastics merchandise links.

WorldGymRank. A very cool website run by a very accomplished gymnast and extremely cool dude. Its websmaster has done a thorough, exhaustive, conscientious job of compiling olympic, world, and many other competitions' results in a well-done weighted ranking system. Gymnasts are ranked by year, and in the current year (2002) by week. He also has an "all-time" 50 greatest (25 men, 25 women). This page provides a very good feel for the stature of most gymnasts and is a great orientation for the novice-to-intermediate gymnastics fan. (I've done something similar, but it isn't published or totally finished yet, and mine will also be simpler.)

Yahoo's "JustGym" Group. AMAZING gymnastics video website for women's gymnastics where videos are available for viewing. Mostly routines (not just bars, but ALL apparatuses) from the early 80s to present, but a few golden oldies are there (Korbut in '72, Comaneci in '76, and even a couple of male gymnasts from even earlier). Most videos are in ".wmv" format, though there are a few mpegs. You'll HAVE to join this group in order to view videos! Also, to navigate from being able to view floor, bars, beam or floor (videos are organized by apparatus), explore their "links" section and then there are many different sets within each apparatus, click on the URL/link for one of them, then click "file", and then you'll have the direct links to the actual videos. Just check it out! It's the greatest collection of gym videos for viewing on the net I know of.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PAGE IS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS AND IS MORE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ME LEARNING HTML THAN IT IS TO PROVIDE USEFUL INFORMATION IN A WELL-DESIGNED MEDIUM. With hope, by the end of 2002, I will be good enough to merit taking this message off of this board. Wish me luck!
