So without further ado, here they are!
AMANDA AND I AT OUR GRADUATION
Amanda (or Manda as she's known as 'cos we're all to lazy to add the extra syllable), is one of my best mates.. we've known each other for a fair while now... and even attempted to go to uni together... although that was short-lived.. we both dropped out within a few weeks of each other 'cos we hated out courses!!!
Perhaps the most important thing to note about Mands is her stamina. Even after spewing everywhere and getting chucked out of pubs, she's STILL looking to party on!! Two enthusiastic thumbs up for her!!!.. She's awesome and has a similar drinking capacity to me (which is ALWAYS a good thing for mates to have..).. We sure get up to some mischief.. (I sound like an old lady now!! But we DO get up to no good).. Exhibit A) Her 20th bash where we decided to get our own booze 'cos the bar was unattended!! *lol* We didn't even think twice, just helped ourselves to some glasses and got some beers!!
But in all seriousness, she's a fantastic mate and no matter WHAT mood I'm in, a phonecall or visit from her revs me up totally!!
I miss her heaps 'cos she's buggered off overseas! (Lucky sod!!) And having a fabulous time by the sound of it too!! Things certainly aren't the same now she's gone!!!
JESS AND I ALL DRESSED UP FOR HALLOWEEN
This photo captures a very rare moment. It was taken at the Menzies College Halloween party of 98, just before Jess made her grand exit. She was a LITTLE too pissed and had a fit, spewed everywhere and got carted off in an ambulance. (Side note, having ambulance cover is VITAL for college students!!) But it was an AWESOME night before that happened... Drunken and bizarre, but awesome none the less.
*sigh* I miss college days...
MY MATES AND I ON OUR LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
OK, so this was taken on my last day of highschool all those moons ago... Well actually it WAS a fair while ago... getting on for 6 years... that's a fair few moons... Anyway, I digress (as always).. it features (from as left to right as is possible) Kate, Thuy, Manda, Mel, Yvonne, Gemma and yours truly. And please note Manda and Thuy's CHARMING earrings made out of an old school dress.. (what an attractive look!)
For those of you who don't believe it, school days ARE the best days of your life. I KNOW what I'm talking about, I'd been working two jobs for 8 months or so and it sucked. Uni's awesome, as was highschool.. and that's why I'm stoked to be back at uni now, even if I AM over the study part of things. So enjoy your school days!!! (Now I really DO sound like an old lady!!)
MUM AND I AT MY GRADUATION (WITH YVONNE IN THE BACKGROUND)
Well, for those of you who wanted to know what my mother looks like (presumably to find out what I'll look like in 20 years), here ya go. The photo was taken in the midst of the Spring women strutting their stuff on the dancefloor.. *lol*
Mum's awesome too (sidenote, Mel tends to think everyone's awesome.. well not EVERYONE, there are a few notable exceptions).. But seriously mum's great, especially compared to some of the mums of people I know... She's not over-protective, too old, too strict and lacking a sense of humour.. Admittedly she went a tad nuts with the whole tattoo business, but that's all in the past now, isn't it Margy???.. *lol* I HOPE it is!!.. Not much she could do about the tatt anyway!!..
And at this point I should perhaps say that, yes I lied when I said that the pics don't feature me.. That's really why you're here isn't it??.. 'Cos you thought there wouldn't be pics of me!! *lol*
SANDI AND I WITH MY LITTLE COUSINS BRITTANY AND MICAELA
I mainly put this pic up to show ya what I looked like with long hair... It was taken when I was about 16 or so, I'd say... I got my hair cut shortly before my 17th birthday... so for those of me who've only known me for a little while- I haven't ALWAYS had short hair!! And in fact, I'm in the process of growing my hair right now! Somewhere around the late 20s, no one has long hair any more.. and any women who DO have it, look like mutton dressed up as lamb! So I decided to grow it "one last time", while I can still get away with it!
Hmmm.. it seems as though I looked older when I was 16, than I do now at twenty-three..... strange that....
Yeah yeah yeah... I'll get around to putting some more pics up soon!!! Keep yer pants on!!
SEE!!! LOOK!!!! I've kept my word... Better late than never, they say!! New pics!! Check em out!!!
SOME OF MY 21ST SHENANIGANS
OK, so I KNOW it's not top-notch quality, but the ACTUAL photo is quite good! So we have: Renée, Luisa, me, Janine, Melanie and Mary at my 21st. And the sad truth is, that that pic's probably the best one to come out of the party!! I got stuck into the champers and midori pretty early on!
It was actually a lot of fun! Although I guess most of that is because I didn't have to organise it! My mum and the rest of my family did a top job, and it was a top night!
PA, MYSELF AND BRITTANY AT MY 21ST
I'll elaborate a bit more about my 21st now.. My family had an awesome time! My pa stayed until stumps.. (TOP WORK!!!).. my little cousins and the other kiddles danced all night with some of us drunken folks.. there was a bizarre incident with an orange shoe.... and much more that I SHOULD remember, but can't recall right now!!!
I had a ball... Even if Amanda DID reveal things I was horrified at in her e-mailed speech!!!! *lol*
US GALS HAVING A HAWAIIAN COCKTAIL TIME
So here we have myself, Renée (the birthday gal), Janine, Amanda and Luisa at Renée's 21st, which, (as if you wouldn't have guessed) had a Hawaiian theme. As far as I recall, it was a great night!! I think I had a few too many long comfortable screws up against the wall (AS IN THE BEVERAGE, OK!!!!), and so some of the details are a touch sketchy.... Any night that involves us good catholic gals and alcomahol is NEVER pretty!!!! A lot of fun, but never pretty!!!
THE DUDASES ALL DRESSED UP!
This is all us gals from Dundas Street (aka Dudas Street) at Marisa's wedding. Left to right is Faye, me, Debbie, Laura, Marisa (the blushing bride), Cathy, Jo, Marelle and Helen. It was SUCH a top night, apart from Debbie forcing me to sing!!! )I STILL hate you Debbie!!!!!... "Greek girl here?!") The food was incredible, the booze was fantastic and the bonboniere present of JD was awesome!!!!!
And yes, even the doctors all got up and danced!!! Unfortunately I have no photographic evidence of this! Dr P and I were the poor sods who had to go to work the next morning, and he'd strained a nutbush muscle!!! When's someone ELSE getting married????? Laura?????.. Laurie? *lol* It sure isn't going to be me!!....
So there you are... Some recent pics.. and no, don't faint- MORE pics!!!! Some of which are from this century!!!!!
MARGY AND I AT MY GRADUATION
Yep, believe it or not, Margy and I are mother and daughter. Due to my crappy work hours, I rarely get to see daylight, so as a result i'm a pale and pasty looking gal. (I prefer to think of it as though I have porcelain skin!) The graduation night was great, although a tad belated. I'd already been working for 3 months, so it felt strange to be getting the degree in April. It would have been an even better night had I not had a wedding to go to in Geelong the next day, but you get that.
AMANDA AND I AT HER OFFICIAL FAREWELL BASH
Yep, that IS Amanda and I with colanders on our heads. And the sad fact is that we we'd only had a couple of bevos at the time!!! We were at the pub and the casino and had ordered some munchies, which for some unknown reason were served in colanders. So naturally, once we were finished the snacks, we posed for photos with the colanders.
It was a TOP night!!! I had a ball!! As did Amanda!! She was such a cack!!!! On the way home we passed a kebab van and she started carrying on about wanting one. Once we were home she continued to harp on about it for the best bit of an hour and she uttered some now famous phrases amongst our groups of friends which included: "I'm not passing our drunk until I get a kebab" (a fine sentiment she did her drunken best to uphold), "You can have the country, I just want a kebab", "Na na na na na na na kebabman", "I want a kebab with kebab sauce", "Adrian, you're not allowed to have sex with Kirsty again unless you get me a kebab", and the list goes on. What a night!!!
AMANDA, DANIEL AND I AT HER RETRO FAREWELL
These are (sadly) some relatively sober shots of us following an absolute flogging playing pool. We had a FANTASTIC night and did some ridiculous dance moves (naturally). Retro wont be the same without Amanda, although I'll do my best to pash security guards in her honour!!!
So now you can go back to my original, exciting page!! or you can sit here and stare at my beautiful self!!.. *lol* Anyone'd think I was incredibly vain and arrogant!!!
