Voodoo and Adria slowly walk down the hallways in the back of the arena. They pass a few locker rooms, the doors painted a dark blue, and large name plates adorning them. Voodoo recognizes a few of the names on the doors; others are complete strangers to him. They stop in front of a door that has a name plate that reads “Shroud”. Voodoo looks at the door, and his hand reaches for the door knob. His hands stops just before the knob and then his hand suddenly retracts. Voodoo turns to Adria and looks at her.

There is one more thing I have to do before I talk to Shroud. One piece of unfinished business that I must attend to. You can come with me if you want too, or you can go back to our locker room.

I’m gonna go get ready for the match. I wanna shower and get changed. I’ll be there when you get back.

Ok. I shouldn’t be that long.

Adria comes to Voodoo and they come together in a deep embrace. Then they share a passionate kiss. Adria turns and starts to walk back toward their locker room. Voodoo watches her until she turns the corner, then he continues walking down the hall, past Shroud’s locker room. He wanders around the back, unsure of his destination. After a few minutes, Voodoo becomes impatient and slams his fist against a pair of metal swinging doors. The doors make a loud clanging sound that can be heard echoing through the halls of the arena. A few heads pop out of the doorways, turn in Voodoo’s direction, and then return to the rooms. Voodoo pushes the steel doors open and walks through them and then continues walking. Suddenly, one of the backstage workers pops out of a door right in front of Voodoo. Voodoo calls after him, but the man keeps walking. A second time Voodoo calls, but he still ignores him. Now very annoyed, Voodoo runs up behind the man, grabs him by the shoulder and spins him around. Voodoo grabs him by the throat, picks him up and hold him against the wall.

I was calling your name.

I’m sorry; I was on my way somewhere. I’m a very busy man.

Hopefully you’re not too busy to answer my question, for your sake.

No sir.

Now, where the hell is the ring. I’m lost back here. It’s been too long.

Just go down this hall, make a right and go through the big black door. That will lead you right to the ring entrance.

Voodoo drops the man and starts walking off in the direction he indicated. The man slouches down against the wall, rubbing his throat. Voodoo comes to the black door as he was told and opens it to reveal a completely empty arena. The ring and entire set have been erected; the arena is waiting for the people to come. Voodoo walks down the ramp and slowly steps into the ring. He looks around the empty arena, imagining the people that will soon be filling up the seats. Voodoo goes and sits on the top turnbuckle and looks into the camera.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a ring. Too long. I miss the rush. The rush you get when you walk down that ramp, and thousands of people are cheering for you. Even if the people boo you, you can feel their seething hatred for you. It’s exhilarating. But the cheering feels much better. I plan on feeling that on Monday. Those three men, Kydd Karnage, Archer and Wildfire, have no idea what they are dealing with here. But they will soon learn. I am a former WEF US Champion, a 3 Time WEF Tag Champion, and what some people don’t remember, is that I was also the WEF Hardcore Champion. I miss the gold around my waist. It’s been too long for that too. This match is just the first step in my goal to gain WFW gold. These 3 men are just road cones on my avenue toward glory. Its easy to just pass them by, but much more fun to run them over. And they won’t just be run over by me, but by Shroud and Misfit as well. They will not know what hit them, but they will just be the first in a line of many to fall at the feet of Voodoo.

Voodoo jumps down from the turnbuckle and looks around the ring. He then leaves the ring and heads back to his locker room as the camera fades to black.
