Doilies & Coasters

My first attempt at knitting a doily. I used #10 thread and 2mm needles. It sure doesn't go as fast as crocheting and it's hard to keep all the stitches on the needles. I found it interesting that the edging is crocheted!
I made this Trish K tabletopper called Timeless Lace but I used #30 thread instead of the #10 called for and got a beautiful 16" doily.
I wanted to try adding beads to my crochet work so I designed this simple coaster. It works up quickly and helped me get the idea of adding beads without undertaking a huge doily.
This is a Trish Kristoffersen doily called Stunning and it really is. I love all the detail in the design. The pattern can be found in her book, Simply Delightful Doilies published by Liesure Arts.
This is a doily that I found on a web page called Sunshine. The original was done in bright yellow but I chose the Christmas variegated to make a festive doily.
Another Trish Kristoffersen doily called Aurora. I made this one for my brother-in-law for his new marble table. It measures 20" across. The pattern can be found in her book, Simple Elegance published by Liesure Arts.
Can you tell yet who my favorite doily designer is? Yup, another Trish Kristoffersen doily called Impressive. I made this one with #30 thread and it is very dainty looking. The pattern can be found in her book, Simply Delightful Doilies published by Liesure Arts.
This doily is called Pineapple Oval. I made it for my daughter's new apartment. There is also a matching round doily. The pattern can be found in Trish's book, Absolutely Gorgeous Doilies published by Liesure Arts.
Another Trish doily! This one is called French Vanilla and is from the Coffee 'N Cream book. I made it with some #30 thread that my Grandmother had in her stash.
Trish again but I've forgotten which one it is!
This doily is called Pineapple Song and comes from Trish's book, Absolutely Gorgeous Doilies and it is! I made it with #20 Opera thread for a friend who has a B&B.
I couldn't find a shamrock doily to decorate for St Patricks Day so I created this one myself.
Another Trish doily that I've forgotten the name of!
