Al soradk Center for Arts & Media..

Al-soradk (Pavilion) was the nomenclature of our independent Egyptian theatric group, which works from 22 years ago.

Al-Soradk(Marquee)Theater(1983-1988)..kind of offhand, officious, experimental mass theater, which called in other words "Anthropology theater”. So it's system depends on what is going between actors and audience.  Al-soradk is a part of a wide Arabic modern theatrical movement called (ceremonialism) based on Folk Arabic Carnival’s traditions. (Ceremonialism movement played a great role in the Arabic criticism at the end of the seventieth period in Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon. and Egypt)

-         The group concerned in 1982.

-         Its first show was in 1983 (happening in our village now) – directed by dr. saleh saad in the villages of el fayom with special support of the cultural corps.

-         At the same year produced its explorative aesthetic manifesto as one of the Arabic theatric movement which called ceremonialism 

-         This manifesto published in the Egyptian theatre magazine 1984 under the title of: (towards a new ceremony theater), then it published by formal way as an aesthetic manifesto in  el bian magazine 1985 el Kuwait .

-         In 1985 performed its second show: (dervish ceremony about the announcing of zefta republic) composed: by Mohamed elfil - directed by: saleh saad  , in more than 15 Egyptian villages, and produced by the village department in cultural corps.

-          In 1985 the same year it presents ( ibn danial dairy in the bad time) a monodrama from shadow’s theatre  (by: magdy ebid ) - directed by : saleh saad in the monodrama’s festival  1985 (special production) .

-         In 1986 it presents (karoon’s treasures) – composed by: Mohamed elfil , directed by : saleh saad in el fayom villages.. produced by public culture.

-         in the same year it produce (el shater hassen ) composed by :fuad hadad ,and directed by saleh saad, participate with basma el husseiny in el manial youth club ( special production ).

-         In 1988 it presents (el mahrosa wedding ceremony) composed by: Mohamed el fil – directed by: saleh saad (special production and support from foreground theatre- al taliaa) in Cairo international festival for experimentation theatre – first period.

-         In 1989 it presents ( almal3ib ) – composed by : Mohamed elfil , and directed by :sheriff sobhy ( special production and support of foreground theatre ) in cairo international festival for experimentation theatre –second period .    

-         The group ceased of the community work for along time because of the leaving of its commencer in a scientism commission to Russia then to el Kuwait to teach in the high institute of theatric arts.

-         In 1990 it presents Punch Tales (karagouz’s Tales), directed by : refaat elmasri  in the cultural café  of the general corps of the book in elhussein .

-         Also in 1990 it re-present (the street scene) composed and directed by : saleh saad  to be displayed in more than one place after its production for the first time.

-         In 2002 it presents Tales Pouch  (gerab el hekaiat ) composed and directed by : saleh saad  (with a special support  from accentuation arts department in culture ministry) in the Cairo international festival in the experimentation theatre in the garden of opera House.

-         In October 2002 performed (monologue fatma elmasria ) in gadiel festival in el harawy house ..( special production and with support of the Switzerland cultural center )
