The Books of Remembrance-- are a set of books, that lists in alphabetical order those Canadians who gave their lives in these wars:
WW I, WW II, The Nile Expidition (1884-1885), South Aftrican War (Boer War-1899-1902) and the Korean War. There is a separate book for Newfoundland (it did not become part of Canada until 1949), and for the Merchant Marine. Scanned pages of these books ae online.

South Carolina Historical Society--EARLY SOUTH CAROLINA NEWSPAPERS. The large majority of published editions of these early newspapers were physically kept and safeguarded for the enlightenment of future generations and, today, the majority of these saved original issues of these newspapers are owned and held by the Charleston Library Society in Charleston, South Carolina. Other institutions and individuals, such as the South Carolina Historical Society, for example, are known to have smaller physical holdings of the early South Carolina newspapers as well.
