i created my first page ever in late 1997, when I first became acquainted with the internet. i made it at wbs and it had a picture of ani difranco on it and that's all I can remember!

soon after that as I began learning how to add backgrounds and pictures (i taught myself html by creating pages with easy homepage editors and then converting what I had done in an advanced editor to see what the HTML looked like.

my next page was very, very sad. huge graphics everywhere, animations, backgrounds, much too overdone which isn't my taste at all. i just loved the fact that i could make a page, and let's face it, we all go overboard our first time. i spent waaaay more time chatting than i did working on my page, but i started to develop a technique when I created my bootleg page. now that bootleg page is an island to itself, and i'm very proud of it.

little by little i began revising and making the page simpler and simpler until you see the page as it is today. it started off as lady lamia's land of darkness. then it had many incarnations until finally, it began to blush a little. along the way i've created many award winning rock and roll fan sites including my favourite, tori amos-spacecakehigh. when i took the plunge and changed my long-time pigtails & all site to spacecakehigh. i knew that it was time for the looking glass to shatter. torn between the name dollparts. which was a bit too much like spacecakehigh. and "all that glitters is sour" i started making my site pink! of all colors in early novemember 1999. inspired by lydia whose site was a dark pink color for about 2 days! i really loved the way her site looked, even though i've never ever ever been a fan of the color pink.

i hope you enjoy the new, revamped site.
