almost all my hobbies have something to do with music! this next one is no exception. i'm very proud to call myself a "groupie". not a groupie in the 80's hair band sense that sleeps with the band, but a groupie in the sense that i'm a huge fan, and that i'll wait for hours just to meet the band.

my "groupie" days started fairly recently, in august of 1998. i had been a fan of tori amos for quite a while but i was seeing her in concert for the first time. i knew that tori does "meet & greets" where fans wait and tori comes to sign autographs and pictures before her soundcheck. i had never done anything like that before, but it was amazing!

i figured, if we can wait behind the venue at the stage entrance to meet tori, why can't we do that with other musicians too? i had heard stories about people who waited for hours in the rain or snow to meet artists like marilyn manson, but i always thought that was extreme. until now!!
