Monty's AKC registered name is Montgomery Scott XV. He is quite pleased with himself now that he
he has a web page with his picture on it. He thought that it would be best to have nothing but images
of himself on it but I explained to him that his page should be devoted to his breed as a whole. Besides,
we only have one image of him but new and better ones are on the way. Monty believes that poodles are the
intellectual pompass of dog society, so I haven't told him that my two toy poodles are getting there own
web page. I hope that Scotties and their humans enjoy this site and please visit again because there's
a lot more to come.
Monty's Roots
Scottish Terriers are known for their short, compact but powerful
physique and headstrong personalities. Bred originally in Scotland, they have a keen adeptness for hunting small rodents as Monty
likes to demonstrate with the occasional dead mole at my back door. With a short
frame, stout thick boned legs, large head and erect ears, Scottys portray a strong sense of
independence and dignity. They are, however, a very loyal breed of dog despite the fact
that they tend to prefer independence. Monty retains most of these characteristics and
demonstrates it often with his headstrong attitude and feisty personality. It is this
fiery, spirited personality that makes Scottys such a joy!
Monty is registered with the American Kennel Club .
