WELCOME to the "Gospel Fellowship" e-mail list. Please take a moment to review this message.
This is an open topic e-mail discussion loop including but not limited to the following topics: Christian Living, Family Life, Personal Testimonies, Questions and Answers, Prayer Requests and Concerns, etc. We come from many different backgrounds and schools of thought. Some of the topics we have discussed include Salvation, the Rapture, Tribulation, Eternal Security, Christmas, KJV, Non Resistance, etc. There have been many wonderful testimonies of God's working in the lives of men and women. We invite you to join us as we attempt to exalt the name of Jesus and His character.
"For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:" Ephesians 4:12,13.
"From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love". Ephesians 4:16.

This list was established by Mose Stoltzfus (Tape Mose not Preacher Mose) in 1998 as a
personal ministry outreach. It was designed for people who desire fellowship around
the Word of God, to promote Christ centered families and evangelism of the world, in short
"To EXALT JESUS CHRIST".

RULES
1. No flaming. Flaming is any kind of derogatory comment.
1 Tim. 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
2. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Please use due respect. Opinions different from your own are not automatically "wrong." Please be careful to word your opinion so as not to be found guilty of slander.
Pro. 10:18 ¶ He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
3. Be sure to keep discussions directed in a Godly manner so as to edify the body.
Rom. 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Rom. 15:2 Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification.
Eph. 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. {to...: or, to edify profitably}

1. We believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures, and that they are the only infallible rule for faith and practice.
2. We believe that there is but one God, eternal, infinite, perfect, unchangeable, who exists and reveals Himself in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, the perfect God-man; that He was without sin...making the only adequate atonement for sin by the shedding of His blood, that He was raised from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and "ever liveth to make intercession for us". We believe that He is coming again and that His coming is immanent.
4. We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit; that He convinces the world of sin, righteousness, and of judgment: that He indwells and comforts the believer, empowers for service, and enables him to live a life of righteousness.
5. We believe that man is saved only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; that he is justified from all things on the ground of His shed blood; and that through the new birth he becomes a child of God.
6. We believe in following the New Testament literally, in observing communion and foot washing, in holy living, and in abstaining from worldly lusts and entertainment.
7. We believe that the Bible teaches nonresistance regarding evil and nonconformity to the world, which includes our attire.
8. We believe that the Church and State are separate institutions, each ordained of God, and each having specific responsibilities. We also believe that the State operates outside the perfection of Christ, therefore the Christian is to refrain from being involved in politics.
9. We believe the Bible teaches against lawsuits for Christians; the swearing of oaths; the wearing of gold, pearls, and costly or immodest apparel; membership in secret societies and labor unions.
10. We believe the Bible teaches that women should wear a veiling which covers their long, uncut hair.
11. We believe the Bible teaches the anointing of oil for the sick, and the kiss of charity as a form of Christian greeting - brethren with brethren, and sisters with sisters.
12. We believe that the Bible forbids divorce, and the remarriage of a person who has a previous spouse living.
13. We are not charismatic (in the normally accepted use of the word) nor ecumenical. Evidence of the Holy Spirit indwelling a believer is manifested by the fruit of the Spirit springing forth from the believer as listed in Galatians: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
