Mad Love is my absolute favourite Drew Barrymore film ever created. I'm actually, ironically enough, watching it right now... Anyhow.. A lot of people I know (including my cousin who was an extra in it) didn't think it was such a masterpiece. A lot of people thought it was just another stupid teenage movie. Well it was a teenage movie, but not like the ones that have been out recently.. It's about two dopey little kids in love (Drew and Chris)... and their adventures, and them realizing *holds breath* that their parents were right, that she did need to get professional treatment and help for her 'clinical depression'. The whole idea of Matt (Chris' character) Breaking this depressed girl Casey (Drew's character) out of a mental institution seems unreal to a lot of people, but really.. it's not that hard. I guess some people just don't want to face that.. okay okay, back to the movie. Drew and Chris both do amazing jobs in this movie, and the characters are very realistic and easy to identify to. Most the people I know my age who 'love' Drew Barrymore, love this movie. They can identify themselves in at least some of Casey's behaviors.. but really.. who can't... everyone gets a little freaked out at times.. you just have to be able to realize when it's not such a good thing... okay now that I sound completely like a parent I'll stop writing.. but.. I won't forget to tell you to see Mad Love if you haven't already cuz.. well.. it's great and wonderful and I can't say enough good things about it so I'll stop talking now...
