A lot of people complained that Home Fries wasn't as good as everyone had said it was going to be. But, this has happened before. Not to Drew or any of the other cast members of Home Fries... but to Jim Carey. Everyone was expecting The Cable Guy to be this great hilarious traditional 'jim carey type' movie and were disappointed when it wasn't. Well, 'everyone' expected Home Fries to be like The Wedding Singer and then got mad when it wasn't. Home Fries is a semi-dark comedy film with little funny sub-plots here and there for the occasional laugh. I thought it was a great film filled with funny jokes and great talent; not just Drew Barrymore, but Luke Wilson and the actor playing Luke's onscreen brother were very good as well. All in all, I think everyone who shot down Home Fries should watch it again keeping in mind that it's not supposed to be a funny funny romantic comedy.. but a dark/romantic comedy that's just a lot of fun to sit back and watch with some other silly comedy films. Sometimes people take things too seriously...
