Miracles and False Wonders
Rev 13:13-14, 19:20 & 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 Talks about Satan's deception in showing great signs and wonders and false miracles. The Apochrypha on chapter 14 of Daniel called Daniel and the Priests of Bel, shows how the Persian Priests would deceive with phony miracles pretending that their god Bel was eating the food and drinking the drinks left as offerings. (today we still see this ritual with the wine & wafer offering and also other religious cultures. We also see this occuring during the Easter Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where they come out of the tomb with a lit torch claiming God sent the fire down from heaven and lit it [Rev 13:13]). We still see these deceptions today with the tears of blood coming from statues and portraits. Like that lady who got caught when they found it was her own blood coming from the picture, when they tested it. So what are the deceptions of Miracles really, beside the known trickery & lies of man. First we must understand what is the supernatural, but that which we don't know by science. Everything is supernatural to us until we discover it's place in the nature of things. Everything has a process and beginning whether we figured it out or not.
You see, miracles are just mere numbers games not recognized as such. We never think of the many times it doesn't happen, we only consider it when it's number pops up and then suddenly we see it as miraculous when it's just a matter of odds and timed occurrences. Other unexplained things come from our own consciousness and some things from science and phenomenon that is known to exist but not everyone's privy to know the ins and outs or why and how. I think people are to attracted to the supernatural because they haven't perfected life enough so they hide in fantasy to escape life?s realities.
Example: True story: a baseball game on TV shows a batter loose the handle on his bat and it gets thrown all the way into the stands and hits a lady. Next time at bat this same hitter loses his bat again and with all the people in the front stands it manages to hit the same exact lady. Miracle or strange right? Wrong, cause how many billions of baseball games ever to be played on earth has this not occurred. Thus what we see as amazing and supernatural is merely an illusion of perception and forgetting the many times it never occurred, sort of a selective recognition of the occurance.
