Mike Dirnt, born Michael Pritchard on the 4th of may, 1972 was born to a heroin addict mother who gave him up for adoption shortly after he was born. He was adopted by a native american woman and her husband but the two split up when mike was seven. At first he lived with his father and then with his mother. Him and lead singer Billie Joe met in grade 4 and have been friends ever since. He later married his girlfriend of three years in 1995 but they split up just this year.
