One important thing to remember, Major Davidson is a Major in the Air Force Reserves. However, he is a Captain at Delta Air Lines. An unusual case where someone would not be insulted by addressing him with a title of lesser military rank! You see, Captain Davidson is actually more respectful than calling him a Major. Even when Major Davidson makes Lt. Colonel and then Colonel in the Air Force Reserves, he'll always be "Captain" Davidson!
