Respiratory System (nose, trachea, lungs)
Immune System (many types of protein, cells, organs, tissues)
Skeletal System (bones)
Excretory System (lungs, large intestine, kidneys)
Urinary System (bladder, kidneys)

Endocrine System (glands)
Digestive System (mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestines)
Nervous System (brain, spinal cord, nerves)
Reproductive System (male and female reproductive organs)

They all play a vital role in the health of the Human Body. You are more than skin and bones!!

Task:

In groups of two, choose a system and evaluate what makes that system so important to the Human Body.  You will also discover diseases that affect your system.  You will choose a disease to research.

Process:

1.  It is your responsibility to find out the functions of your system.

This should be prepared as a PowerPoint Presentation for presentation to your fellow classmates.

2.  In addition to its functions,

Research a disease that contributes to your system’s malfunction. Description of you disease will be presented in poster format.

N.B.   It will be necessary for both students to play an active role in both projects; however, you can choose between yourselves if each does one of the projects individually.
