Ken's Triple Crown

No one will touch him in AVG. and RBI, however if Ken(21HR) can maintain the HR lead
over John (20), he will the deal and win the coveted Triple Crown.

World Series 2004

As MP takes their annual hiatus, teams for the 2004 World Series have not yet been
announced, but there is high probability they will resemble a rematch of 2003.

GAME RECAP

19. July 19th - Any Takers?

Hogan started against Ken. Hogan was solid through the first few innings but got roughed up by a grandslam by John
McVey and a HR by Ken. Ken allowed 3 runs, all HRs. Hogan went deep and Dave continued his tear by hitting a pair on
the roof. John and Ken perhaps primed themselves for a playoff team as they both hit 2 out and Ken now leads John by
one in the HR race. Ken held on to lead the league with 7 wins.
11-3 Final: Ken, John, Matt
HR - Ken 2(21), John 2(20), Dave 2(17), Hogan(9)

18. July 19th - Calm after the Storm

After a 3-night destruction of MP, playing resumed on the 19th. Sifting through the filth the MP faithfuls managed to pull
one out with O-Dogg vs. John. Dogg made possibly his last reg. season start and performed to his liking with 2 runs
allowed and 8K's. He allowed HR's to Ken and John. John on the other hand struggled allowing 3 HRs to Dave and one
to Hogan. James held on to stat his 5th win of 2004.
6-2 Final: O-Dogg, Hogan, Dave
W-O-Dogg(5-3) L-John(3-3) HR- John(18), Ken(19), Dave 3(15), Hogan(8)

17. July 12th - Nickel Beer Night

Ken Cereola hit 2 HRs to take the league lead in HRs and give Dan Hogan the run support he needed for his 2nd win on
the mound. O-Dogg started the game and allowed only 1 run. Pitching on one day's rest he was relieved by John in the
4th. John gave up the 2 HRs to Ken as well as one to Matt (who homered for both teams). Hogan carried a shutout into
the 7th when his brother hit a two-run shot off of him. John McVey continues to struggle.
7-2 Final: Hogan, Ken, Matt
W-Hogan(2-3) L-O-Dogg(4-3) HR-Ken 2(18), Matt 2(3)

RUMOR MILL

Trade rumors continue to surround Dave LaGala. The disgruntled pitcher has snubbed MP citing the
excuse of "fixing a flat tire." This story is still developing but fans are wondering if the All-Star MP player will
opt to waive his no-trade clause and ask out.

Mike McVey did not play this week. Sources close to the team say that it is a result of acquiring a parasitic
illness. It is assumed he contracted the little bugger while eating lunch at Splish Splash.

Harry "the Boss" McVey wants to play tennis.

Matt Hogan hit a pair of HRs this week. The youngster was very excited and when asked after the game how
he felt he replied, "I got Home Run."
