Fatally wounded by a bomb in a derelict factory the previous day. 2nd Battalion. From Thornley, Co. Durham.

Shot while on patrol in Crossmaglen. From Bristol.

HARRISON - Private Lewis J. - 9th August 1977 - Aged 20.
Killed by a sniper while guarding a bomb disposal team at an RUC station. 3rd Battalion. From Streethouse, Wales.

HARRISON - Private Michael E. - 29th June 1977 - Aged 19.
Killed in an ambush in West Belfast. 3rd Battalion. From Sheffield.

JONES - Private Richard V. - 18th August 1972 - Aged 21.
Shot by a sniper in West Belfast.

KENNINGTON - Lance-Corporal Alan - 28th February 1973 - Aged 20.
Shot while on 'lollipop patrol'. At lunchtime the schools in Ardoyne were patrolled to protect the schoolkids from sectarian clashes. As the children came out of school the gunmen opened fire. 3rd Battalion. From Lydeard, Somerset.

LEWIS - Private Alexander S. - 20th August 1988 - Aged 18.

MILLER - Lance-Corporal Richard - 18th September 1973 - Aged 21.
Fatally wounded 25th August while on observation duty in West Belfast. From Co. Durham.

NORSWORTHY - Private Mark A. - 20th August 1988 - Aged 18.
Killed by a bomb when travelling to their base in Omagh by coach. 8 men were killed. From Plymouth, Devon.

ROBERTS - Private Reginald B. - 1st July 1973 - Aged 25.
Shot by a sniper in the Ballymurphy estate. It was the day of his 25th birthday. 2nd Battalion. Ten days later his wife went into labour and both babies died.

ROWE - Private Ronald A. - 28th August 1972 - Aged 21.
Shot by accident when mistaken for a terrorist gunman, in Ardoyne, North Belfast. 1st Battalion. From Bodwin, Cornwall.

RUDMAN - Private John R. - 15th September 1971 - Aged 21.
Shot while travelling to Coalisland. A year later his brother was also murdered in Ulster. 2nd Battalion. From West Hartlepool, Co. Durham.

RUDMAN - Private Thomas - 30th September 1972 - Aged 20.
Shot while on duty in Ardoyne, North Belfast. A year earlier his brother had also been murdered in Ulster. 1st Battalion. From West Hartlepool, Co. Durham.

SALTHOUSE - Corporal David P. - 6th December 1982 - Aged 23.
Killed while off duty by a bomb in the Droppin' Well pub, in Ballykelly. 11 soldiers and 6 civilians were murdered.

TAYLOR - Corporal Thomas P. - 13th May 1973 - Aged 26.
Killed by a bomb in a derelict factory in Donegall Road. 2nd Battalion. From Sunderland.

TURNBULL - Private Richard - 29th June 1977 - Aged 18.
Killed in an ambush in West Belfast. From Gosborough, Yorkshire.

TURNER - Private P. - 28th August 1992 - Aged 18.
Shot by a sniper in Crossmaglen. 2nd Battalion. From Herefordshire.

WHITELOCK - Sergeant Arthur - 24th August 1972 - Aged 24.
Shot by a sniper while on patrol in Londonderry. It was his third tour of Ulster. 2nd Battalion. From Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
