SMITH - Ranger Cyril John, QGM - 24th October 1990 - Aged 21.
From Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim. Killed by a 'human bomb' at an army checkpoint. A civilian was forced to drive a bomb into the checkpoint. He got out of the vehicle and shouted a warning to Ranger Smith. Instead of running away, Smith ran to warn his comrades and was caught in the explosion. He was decorated for bravery with the Queen's Gallantry Medal, posthumously.

Shot while at his sister's home in Rasharkin, Antrim, while off duty.

Kidnapped and shot after a stag party in an Armagh pub.

Shot while home from Cyrpus on leave for Christmas, in North Belfast. He had been married for 8 months.

Shot as he waited to pick his wife up from her work, near Portadown, in Armagh. His 3 year old son was in the car at the time.

WITHERS - Corporal Trelford - 8th August 1994 - Aged 46.
Shot while working in his shop in Crossgar, Down.

WREN - Private Christopher - 31st May 1993 - Aged 34.
Killed by a booby trap bomb under his car near Moneymore, Londonderry.

Shot as he drove in Armagh. He was due to retire from the UDR a week later.

Shot at his farm after returning from taking his sons to a Boy's Brigade meeting.

Shot as he returned home from work. His brother-in-law, Corporal Robert Frazer, had been murdered in August.

Shot while driving with his father.

Shot at work in Dungannon. A workmate was also murdered with him.

Killed by a booby trap bomb under his car. His 10 year old daughter was murdered with him. When Peace protestors gathered outside Sinn Fein HQ to protest the murder, they were attacked by Republican supporters.

Shot at a UDR barracks in South Belfast. His wife was expecting their first child.

GRAHAM - Private Cecil - 10th November 1981 - Aged 32.
Shot after visiting his wife (a Catholic) and their premature baby, 8th November, in Donagh. His brothers, Thomas and James were also mudered serving with the UDR.

8th Battalion UDR. Fatally wounded the day before as he left home in Coalisland.

STINSON - Private Andrew F. - 4th June 19823 - Aged 35.
Killed by a bomb in his digger, at work in Tyrone.

STOCKMAN - Private Mark A. - 29th September 1981 - Aged 20.
Shot while at lunch break from work in West Belfast.

STOTT - Private Robert - 25th November 1975 - Aged 22.
Shot as he returned home from work. A prominent member of the Young Unionists.

SUTCLIFFE - Private Paul - 1st March 1991 - Aged 24. From Lancashire. Ex-Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
Killed by a mortar bomb in Armagh.

TAGGART - Sergeant David - 4th August 1986 - Aged 33.
Shot as he arrived home in North Belfast.

TRACEY - Private John - 26th June 1987 - Aged 46.
Shot at work, at a building site in South Belfast.

TRAINOR - Private Samuel - 20th March 1972 - Aged 40.
Killed by a car bomb in Belfast, 19 other people were also murdered. He was off duty at the time.

TUCKER - Lance Corporal Gerald - 8th June 1977 - Aged 37.
Shot as he left work at the Royal Victoria Hospital, West Belfast. Received a posthumous Queen's Jubilee Medal.

VEITCH - Private Francis W. - 3rd September 1971 - Aged 23.
From Mullgarrow. Shot outside Kinawley RUC station.

WATT - Private Sydney - 20th July 1973 - Aged 36.
Shot as he arrived home in Ballinteemple.

WILLIAMSON - Lance Corporal Frederick A. - 7th October 1982 - Aged 33.
Killed with a woman prison officer as he drove at Kilmore.

WILSON - Private Denis - 7th December 1971 - Aged 31.
Shot in his home at Curlough, near Caledon. He was shot in bed, suffering from a cold.

WILSON - Private Richard - 6th January 1980 - Aged 21.
One of 3 men killed by a bomb at Burren Bridge.
