BRIGHT - Corporal-Major - 23rd July 1982 - Aged 36.
Fatally injured by a massive nail bomb in Hyde Park, London, 20th July. He was the Standard-Bearer for the troop. From Brossley, Salop. Seven horses and 4 men were murdered.

COX - Corporal of Horse Barry Roy - 18th May 1973 - Aged 28.
Attached to Army Air Corps. Killed with 3 other NCO's as they got into their car outside a hotel in Omagh. From Manchester.

DYKES - Trooper Anthony - 5th April 1979 - Aged 25.
Shot as their Saracen pulled into Anderstown RUC station, West Belfast. From Doncaster.

THORNETT - Trooper Anthony David - 5th April 1979 - Aged 20.
Shot as their Saracen pulled into Anderstown RUC station, West Belfast. From Coventry.

TIPPER - Trooper Simon - 20th July 1982 - Aged 19.
Killed by a massive nail bomb in Hyde Park, London. Seven horses and 4 soldiers were murdered.

YOUNG - Lance Corporal Jeffrey Vernon - 20th July 1982 - Aged 19.
Killed by a massive nail bomb in Hyde Park, London. Seven horses and 4 soldiers were murdered. From Tonyrefail, Wales.


LIFE GUARDS

DURBER - Lance Corporal of Horse David - 14th May 1994 - Aged 27.
Died of severe head injuries suffered in a riot in January, in North Belfast. From Wales.


4th/7th ROYAL DRAGOON GUARDS

KNIPE - Trooper Geoffrey - 7th August 1972 - Aged 24.
Killed by children who were stoning his vehicle. A brick hit him in the head. When an ambulance arrived to try and save his life it was stoned. From Bradford, Yorkshire.


1st QUEEN'S DRAGOON GUARDS

COX - Sergeant Graham A. - 17th October 1971 - Aged 35.
Fatally wounded on the 15th October by a gun attack while on patrol in North Belfast. Attached to the Parachute Squadron, Royal Armoured Corps at the time. From Tidworth, Hampshire.


ROYAL SCOTS DRAGOON GUARDS

CAIE - Trooper Ian Hunter - 24th August 1972 - Aged 19.
Killed by a bomb while on patrol at Moybane. He was trapped in his burning scout car. From Aberdeen.


5th ROYAL INNISKILLING DRAGOON GUARDS

DRAKE - Sergeant Frederick William - 3rd June 1973 - Aged 25.
Fatally injured by a booby trap bomb in a hotel in Omagh, 18th May. From Minford, Norfolk.


16th/5th THE QUEEN'S ROYAL LANCERS

POWELL - Corporal David F. - 28th October 1971 - Aged 22.
Fatally wounded by a bomb while on patrol near Kinawley. From Stoke-on-Trent. Father of a 7 month old daughter.


14th/20th KING'S HUSSARS

ARMSTRONG - Corporal Ian H. - 29th August 1971 - Aged 32.
Killed why changing a damaged tyre near the border. From Hull.

COTTON - Corporal Michael J. - 20th March 1974 - Aged 36.
Shot by accident when an RUC patrol stopped a van of off duty soldiers in civilian clothes and armed. They were returning from leave. From Nottingham.

HERBERT - Corporal Michael Francis - 20th March 1974 - Aged 31.
Shot by accident when an RUC patrol stopped a van of off duty soldiers in civilian clothes and armed. They were returning from leave. From Prestwick, Scotland.


9th/12th ROYAL LANCERS

MAUGHAN - Sergeant Robert - 6th May 1979 - Aged 30.
Shot outside a church in Fermanagh. From Senham, near Newcastle.

ORAM - Sergeant Paul Douglas - 21st February 1984 - Aged 26.
Shot while working undercover with 14th Intelligence Company. He had previously been awarded a
Military Medal for an incident in Ulster 1983. From Yorkshire.

PRENDERGAST - Trooper Sean - 5th April 1977 - Aged 22.
Killed by a landmine while on patrol near Belleek. From Corby, Northamptsonshire.


15th/19th THE KING'S ROYAL HUSSARS

ROBINSON - Sergeant William - 8th February 1975 - Aged 22.
Shot while on patrol at Mullan, near the Fermanagh border. From Glasgow.


17th/21st LANCERS

GIBBONS - Trooper John - 5th May 1973 - Aged 22.
Killed by a bomb near Crossmaglen. From Edinburgh.

WILLIAMS - Lance Corporal Terence W. - 5th May 1973 - Aged 35.
Killed by a bomb near Crossmaglen. From Aylesham, Kent.


ROYAL TANK REGIMENT

NOWASAD - Trooper James - 3rd March 1978 - Aged 21.
Shot at a checkpoint in North Belfast. 4th Battalion. From Stirling, Scotland.

SMITH - Corporal Steven - 2nd July 1989 - Aged 31.
Killed by a car bomb in Honover, Germany. From Yorkshire. His wife and 4 children were wounded in the attack.

WARNOCK - Trooper John - 6th September 1971 - Aged 18.
Killed by a bomb at Derrybeg, Newry. From Salisbury, Wiltshire.
